Chauffeur Service Toronto ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, request a quote, book a chauffeur, or contact us — and how we use, share, and protect that information. We've kept this short and in plain English on purpose.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, and a small amount of information our website collects automatically.
Information you give us
- Booking and quote details: name, email, phone, pickup and drop-off addresses, date and time of travel, vehicle preference, number of passengers, flight number (for airport runs), and any notes you add.
- Payment information: when you confirm a reservation, payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored on our servers in card form. We retain a tokenised reference so we can match the payment to your booking.
- Communications: any message you send us by email, the booking form, or our voice booking assistant — including a transcript of voice input if you use the dictation feature.
Information collected automatically
- Standard server logs: IP address, browser type, the pages you viewed, and the time of the visit.
- Cookies and similar technologies used to keep you logged into the booking widget within a single session and to remember your preferences.
- Aggregated analytics (Google Analytics) that tell us how visitors find and use the site. We do not link analytics data to your booking unless you submit a form.
How we use your information
- To fulfil the booking or quote you requested.
- To contact you about your reservation — confirmations, driver updates, receipt, and follow-up.
- To improve our service (e.g. understanding which routes are most popular so we can staff appropriately).
- To comply with legal obligations: tax reporting, applicable transport regulations, and dispute resolution.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Who we share information with
- Our drivers: the driver assigned to your booking receives the pickup details necessary to complete the ride.
- Payment processor: Stripe (and Square where applicable) process card payments under their own privacy terms.
- Email and SMS provider: Resend / our SMTP provider sends booking confirmation and receipt emails on our behalf.
- Government authorities: only when legally required.
Data retention
Booking records are retained for seven (7) years for tax and accounting purposes (Canadian CRA requirement). Server logs are retained for 90 days. Voice-input transcripts are retained for 30 days unless attached to a booking, in which case the same seven-year retention applies.
Your rights
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Ontario law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Withdraw consent for future marketing (we send transactional emails only related to your booking — we do not run a marketing list).
- Request deletion of your information, subject to the retention requirements above.

Security
We use HTTPS site-wide, encrypted payment tokens, and access controls on our booking database. No system is perfectly secure — if you believe your information has been compromised, contact us immediately at the email above.
Children
Our service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for 30 days.
